Myanmar Aid
Myanmar Aid was founded and is run by Sue & Sahin Ozturk. It is funded by the Andrew Clark Trust, and supported by Brooks Development Trust and the Joris Foundation. Myanmar Aid sponsors poor children through the state education system. It also provides free English lessons, having established The Vera Thomson English School, and additional reading opportunities through its Andrew Clark Trust Library (opened in 2005 with over 2500 books, some 200 of which are borrowed each week). Further to this, Myanmar Aid provides healthcare for the children of Lintha Village, if families can’t afford doctor’s fees.
