စိန့် ကက်သရင်း ရဲ့ကောလိပ်, ကင်းဘရစ်တက္ကသိုလ်

၂၀၀၄ ခုနှစ် နှင့် ၂၀၀၇ ခုနှစ် အကြားတွင် MABA သည် Cambridge မှ စိန့်ကက်သရင်း ကောလိပ်နှင့် ဆက်နွယ်၍ စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ် အစပြုခဲ့သည်။ ထို အစီအစဉ်များတွင် စိန့်ကက်သရင်း ၏ ဂီတဒါရိုက်တာနှင့် ဘွဲ့ကြိုဂီတပညာရှင်များသည် ရန်ကုန်၊ မန္တလေး၊ ပုဂံမြို့များတွင် လှည့်လည် ဖျော်ဖြေရေး အစီအစဉ်များလည်း ပါဝင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ တစ်နှစ်အကြာတွင် ဘွဲ့ကြို သင်တန်းသားတစ်ဦးသည် Symphony သံစုံတီးဝိုင်း အဖွဲ့ဝင်များအား Woodwind ကို သင်ကြားပေးရန်အတွက် ဂီတပညာရှင် တစ်ဦးအနေဖြင့် ရန်ကုန်သို့ ပြန်လာပြီး ဂီတဒါရိုက်တာသည် ၂၀၀၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ Symphony သံစုံတီးဝိုင်းအား Haydn နှစ်ပတ်လည် ဖျော်ဖြေပွဲအတွက် ပြင်ဆင်ရန် ရန်ကုန်မြို့သို့ ပြန်လာခဲ့သည်။ မြန်မာ အမျိုးသားနေ့ ကို London ရှိ Grosvenor Chapel တွင် စိန့်ကက်သရင်း၏ သံစုံတီးဝိုင်းဖြင့် ဖျော်ဖြေတင်ဆက်ခဲ့ပြီး မြန်မာမှ နိုင်ငံခြားသားများစွာ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့သည်။

St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge University

Between 2004 and 2007, MABA organised a series of initiatives involving St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. These included a concert tour of Myanmar by St Catharine’s Director of Music and a number of its undergraduate musicians, with classical concerts held in Yangon, Mandalay and Bagan. One of the undergraduates returned to Yangon a year later, as a graduate musician, to teach woodwind to members of the Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra, and the Director of Music returned in 2007 to prepare the Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra for the Haydn anniversary concert in Yangon. Myanmar National Day was celebrated with a concert by the choir of St Catharine’s at the Grosvenor Chapel, London, attended by many expatriates from Myanmar.
